How do I become a vendor at the Farmers Market?
You can sign up to be a vendor at the Thursday farmers market at the west shore farmers market link at the top of the page.
Do I need a peddlers permit to be a vendor?
No, you do not need a peddlers permit to be a non-food vendor. The peddlers permit is for food trucks only. it is $100 that is filed through the Village of akron and covers all events through the calendar year with the village. you will also need to sign up for individual events through the organization that is hosting it.
Do I have to be a business owner to join the chamber?
No! we welcome everyone that is willing to lend a hand. There is a residential option for memberships that is only $25. Volunteering is the best way to keep all of our community events going.
Does it cost anything to bring my car to the Cruise Nights?
no, cruise night is free! just make sure you register when you arrive so you can be placed into the drawing for a prize.
How do I know if the Cruise Night has been cancelled?
we will post on our facebook page if we have to cancel the cruise night. There are several factors that we have to take into consideration when we make the decision to cancel.
one of them being the drivers themselves. will they drive through rain? Most classic car owners will not drive when there is a chance of rain.
is the national weather service calling for severe winds? our vendors cannot set up during high winds. their equipment and products are at risk of being damaged.
Why don’t we extend cruise nights to make up for cancelled nights?
once we get into late september the sun sets at around 7pm. drivers come from all over WNY and will not drive when it is dark out.
